While the Kulturinsel in front of the Gasteig HP8 is in full bloom, the city library hosts a plant exchange: Want to swap your pumpkins against kitchen herbs or a cactus? Just come along between 9 and 13 May. On the final day, on Saturday 13 May, there will be flower-powered music and activities.

You have green fingers but no garden of your own? Come and get your hands dirty in the raised beds on the Kulturinsel. And if you do have a garden, why not have a professional advise you on how to help your plants grow even better in your own bed. Green City will pay us a visit with an info bike, which will provide an insight into “the power of greening”.
Or just come and chill on the mobile wooden benches on our lush green culture island and listen to the live guitar and vocals of Duo SOYL. If that doesn’t appeal to your kids, they can take part in creating a giant flower-themed
street chalk mandala with artist Claudia Königsmann. Kids can take part in our Bee meets Blossom painting competition. The three winning entries will adorn the label of the first honey from our busy bees in their hive on the Gasteig’s roof.
In the event of rain, the action will take place indoors in Hall E.
