With its Prizewinners’ concert, Tonkünstler München e. V. presents musicians aged 8 to 20 who have won a first prize at the 61st Munich regional Jugend musiziert competition in 2024.
The programme comprises solo performances in the wind instrument, guitar and hackbrett categories as well as ensembles in the categories piano pieces for four hands, piano and string duo, and art song duo (voice and piano). Outstanding achievements are also honoured with special prizes.
Jugend musiziert is Germany’s premier music promotion project. Participation is open to all children and young people who want to demonstrate their musical skills either as soloists or as part of an ensemble on a public stage and in front of a jury. The competition takes place in various categories, which rotate from year to year. The audition programme consists of music from different epochs. Depending on age and category, each judged performance takes between 6 and 30 minutes.
